There are several options to get to POV
Driving Directions:
From Washington, DC
Take 395 South towards Richmond. Follow signs to 95 south. Take 95 south approximately 15 miles and exit at Lorton/exit number 163. Take a left off the exit onto Lorton Road towards Gunston Hall.
Take the second right on Lorton Market Square. Lorton Market Square becomes Gunston Cove Road. Stay straight on this road and cross over Route 1 Richmond Hwy. The road becomes Gunston Road. Turn Right on Belmont Boulevard, right on Belmont Landing Road, and left on Old Spring Drive. Go to end, Number 7301. Approximately 20 miles and 35 minutes.
From Arlington, VA
Take Washington Boulevard East to 395 south. Follow signs to 95 south. Take 95 south approximately 15 miles and exit at Lorton/exit number 163. Take a left off of the exit onto Lorton Road towards Gunston Hall.

From Fairfax, VA
Take 123 south approximately 12 miles. Take left at Furnace Road, merge onto Lorton Road. Take right on Richmond Highway, left on Gunston Road, right on Belmont Boulevard, right Belmont Landing Road, and left Old Spring Road. Go to end, Number 7301. Approximately 18 miles and 30 minutes.

Train:
POV is about 5 miles from Lorton Station on the Virginia Railway Express (which also serves Union Station in Washington, DC); 5 miles from Station Building and about 6 miles from Woodbridge Station on Amtrak; and 11 miles from the Franconia-Springfield stop on the WMATA (Washington Metro Area Transit Authority) line. From the train stop, order a taxi, Uber or Lyft for a short ride to POV.
Air:
25 miles from Reagan National Airport and less than 35 miles from Dulles International Airport.

About Point of View
In 2000, Edwin and Helen Lynch gave the Carter School their family home and surrounding property overlooking Belmont Bay in Mason Neck, Virginia in order to build a retreat and training center that creates positive change for the world. The Lynches were leaders and changemakers in Northern Virginia, and as longtime supporters of the school, they believed in its remarkable dedication and accomplishments in the field of peacebuilding at home and worldwide.
Becoming a reality through a shared vision between the Carter School, philanthropic partners, community leaders, and elected officials, our vision is to serve as a “Civilian Camp David” by providing space and support to groups and communities to transform destructive conflicts, heal, and reconcile.
We are currently raising support for the next phase of POV's development, including overnight accommodations to give groups and participants the opportunity to fully immerse in the tranquil setting and their transformative work together.
